Since I was very young I’ve been curious how things work, I am a process person, what does it take to create this or that. I have been a lifelong fiber enthusiast from the age of seven, sewing and knitting for Barbie. The love of fabrics and embellishments as well as the desire to create my own clothing style led me to author two books: Crazy Rags; Contemporary Wearable Art and Flora Botanica born of my early creative textile explorations and teaching nationally. Deborah Brunner Fiber Arts, began in 1996, was a great leap into the world of national sewing and various fiber events sharing my passion for things fiber related. Although I now practice my fiber fascination closer to home, there is always something new or something old to pique my interest and I continued my exploration. I have tried to keep the curiosity within the realm of clothing, although I have strayed on occasion, being a curious life-long learner. I love spending time with my fabrics and threads to see where they lead me next.
